I developed rheumatoid arthritis twenty years ago, I am now 50. Ugh! It started in my hands and slowly spread through my whole body. I have tried all anti-inflammatory drugs, gold injections to no avail, and I have been to chiropractors and physiotherapists/masseurs and it made me worse.
I am on some nasty drugs such as steroids, methotrexate and cyclosporin. I was always stiff and sore and I seemed to hurt all the time. I have had three operations on my feet. Pins have been put in the big toes to try and straighten them followed by fusing them together to hold them up. This didn't work and the pain was still there. I had a synovectomy on my knee with further injections. I also had surgery to my wrists as I was always in so much pain.
And then I found Richard. Since I have started Bowen therapy, I have found relief and a lot of my pain has gone.

What the therapist has to say
When JJ first hobbled into my clinic she had that long term pain look in her eyes and face. Her skin was blotchy and had a dull look. She had tried many other types of treatments for her rheumatoid arthritis without success. She was sceptical before her first Bowen therapy session.
With the first treatment I applied gentle basic relaxation moves – I don’t think there was a place that wasn't sore on her body.
By the third treatment, a week apart, a lot of the pain was gone and she couldn't praise Bowen therapy enough.
It's been 12 treatments now and JJ is on only a quarter of those nasty drugs. Her rheumatoid arthritis factor was at one stage nearly 1000 and now it is down to around 400.
The Bowen has made JJ more mobile. She does not get so tired and does not have to lay down a lot of the time. Her skin looks so much healthier and she is looking great. JJ cannot believe her feet do not ache any more.
